LSAT Score
I got my LSAT Score back already. I did way worse than I thought I was going to. Oh well. Re-studying will commence after this weekend of studying for midterms. That's fine. I can do better. I know I can.

A Hat
I made a hat out of newspaper for my french skit. It's kinda cute.
I look awesome, no? I'm L'Empereur... I.e. Napoleon. It's fitting.

Home
I am nesting still. Badly.
Pat thinks I have a problem. He wants to take me on "Intervention".
I just want to re-do the living room. And the bedroom... and the kitchen...but whatever.
I do not have the money to redo my entire apartment. I do not even have enough to even buy a new desk which we need badly. The desk we have is not large enough nor does it have any storage besides one drawer which falls out if you pull it out wrong/too far. It is impractical and we need a better desk. Unfortunately even used (which is a what we are going for) a desk costs a large chunk of money.
Again money sucks. As per every single post I write.

A lot to talk about
First, I'm annoyed by the key desk.
People don't show up for their shifts. And no one wants to take anyone else's shifts either. Keys have gone missing. Because no one is at the desk. And everyone is crabby.
It's a bad situation to be in. There needs to be more managing. Unfortunately that won't happen and therefor people will just be mad and cranky and things won't work out. It's stupid.
Responsibility. Work Ethic. It's not rocket science but people should DO THEIR JOB!
I have no idea why they haven't been fired. It's like 3 people who just suck and don't take responsibility.
I couldn't get someone to take my shift I still showed up. That's how it works.
In other news:
1. I got promoted at my other job to Shift Leader. YAY! It'll be awesome. And if it's not at least it's a 50 cent pay raise and a guaranteed 40 hours a week in the summer.
2. I was in Texas and I had an awesome time.
I love Heather and her friends were very nice. I got to see Aaron, also good. And then I saw Kirsten and Josh. And by saw, I mean I helped them move into their new house. It's very cute. Small but cute. SMU was awesome. I still want to live in Texas and go to school their so that's all awesome.
And now I'm back at school and I need to study French (cause I'm super bad at it and I have to get better than a C) and do tons of other homework and reading. It's going to be a fun week yet again. Next weekend=not going anywhere except the library.

Writing a Book Takes a Lifetime
I go through my day cataloging things that I see. I write down weird conversations I hear, or just memorize the way people walk a certain way.
Sometimes I write down stories people tell me about their lives. For instance, a friend (who shall remain nameless for her sake and my own) once had a bit too much to drink. She was then walked home by an equally intoxicated male acquaintance. For reasons she can’t remember she decided to go with him to his house. While there things got further than she would have liked. So she went home. Without her pants.
Now you can’t make up wonderful stories like that.
I of course will not include her name and her story will be put in the hands of a character that mostly doesn’t resemble her but eventually things like this will end up in my book. I have a whole file folder on my computer just packed with quotes and sentences and pictures or stories that I’ve gathered which will one day be written cohesively and placed in a bound book.
I think it will probably be actually written sometime around my mid-life crisis.

I'm 10...
So I'm very sick of the parental-ness of many of the Professors and TAs at school. "We want you to listen and pay attention so you can't use laptops."
I am here because I paid to be here. I paid for this grade. If I f* it up that's my fault. And that's what being an adult is all about.
I also have to write a book report because the TA wants to make sure we read the book. It's one page, double spaced. I AM NOT 10!! I did not get this much parenting from my high school let alone my own parents!
What is wrong with this school? And it's not just Madison, many schools/profs across the U.S. are doing the same thing.
I am 21 years old. I could be married with a child. (Hell some of the people in my classes probably do/are). I am an adult. Please treat me as one.

Now that the LSAT is over...
I have about 3 weeks of readings and three papers to write this week. Awesome.
On a side note (because procrastinating seems like my best option at this point) I am in love with Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, and Sarah Vaughan. Amazing women with amazing voices. I wish I could sing. Well I am physically capable... Pat just calls it "endearing". Which, I think, means I'm not very good at it.
